Bitcoin exchange Binance has announced a partnership with French startup incubator Station F and investing €100 million to expand its presence in Europe.

“France has a unique opportunity to become an industry leader in Europe,” Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said at the Paris Blockchain Week conference.

Incubator participants will receive support from BNB Chain, NFT Labs, and Binance Labs teams and have the opportunity to collaborate with exchange partners to develop their ideas.

“We hope to help everyone get into the world of Web 3.0 to better understand blockchain and cryptocurrencies,” said Suzanne Varza, director of Station F.

Zhao said the French Binance team already has 50 employees.

In November 2021, the head of the company announced that it plans to acquire the status of a service provider in the field of digital assets in France in 6-12 months. At the same time, the exchange announced a €100 million joint venture with France FinTech to support local blockchain initiatives.

In his speech at the conference, Zhao said that Binance has obtained licenses in four jurisdictions and is negotiating with regulators in more than 40 countries.

Recall that in 2022, approval for the operation of the exchange was given by the free financial district authorities of Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
