There was a malfunction in the Biftinex exchange, which resulted in the suspension of trading. The platform team announced this at approximately 14:30 Moscow time.

“We are investigating issues with the platform and have had to temporarily suspend trading. As soon as we know the details, we will make an announcement here and on the bitfinex.statuspage.io page. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”

Afterwards, exchange representatives reported that they found the cause of the problems and were confident that the user’s funds were safe.

Around 4 pm, a message appeared stating that the work was almost complete and that the exchange would resume its function of canceling orders.

Bitfinex did not specify when other services will start working. Some users in the comments noted that withdrawals are not suitable for them.
