Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship 14 Pro is poised to make significant changes to its display design, as revealed by popular leaker Ice Universe. According to a picture posted on Twitter, the front of the device will feature a four curved display. With ultra-narrow bezels that are almost the same on all sides, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to achieve a stunning full-screen effect. Compared to the iPhone 15 Pro’s rumored design that will also narrow the bezels but keep the dynamic island, the Xiaomi 14 Pro seems to have an advantage.
Features of Xiaomi 14 Pro
In terms of core performance, considering that Xiaomi’s flagship series uses the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor every year, it is only natural that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be equipped with the third generation Snapdragon 8 series and even debuted worldwide. DCS also confirmed via leak that the device will indeed feature the SM8650 chip, which is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Using TSMC’s 4nm process, this chip offers significant performance improvements over the previous model. With a large Cortex X4 core clocked up to 3.72 GHz, a large Cortex A715 core and a small Cortex A515 core, as well as an Adreno 750 GPU, the Xiaomi 14 Pro has impressive benchmark results.
Geekbench 6 test shows 2563 points in single core and 7256 points in multi-core. That’s 30% more than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and even beats Apple’s A16 chip, which scored 6,275 points.
Coming to the battery capacity, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to have a massive 5000mAh battery. The device is also expected to support 50W fast wireless charging. It is noteworthy that the leaks point to the existence of two different wired fast charging options with 90 W and 120 W power.
Xiaomi 14 Pro will come with upgraded camera modules including WLG High-Lens cameras. In addition, there will be two versions of the device, one with a flat screen and the other with a curved screen. The two versions are likely to support different high-speed charging speeds. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to launch around November 2023.
