Sonos makes Alexa available to more users around the world so dEnjoy all the benefits of voice control.

As of today, Amazon Alexa is available in Colombia on compatible Sonos devices. Alexa will offer users an easy way to play music, set timers and alarms, check the weather, control home automation devices and more with simple commands. With a free software update, the new voice feature will now work in 27 additional markets.

With this new feature, Colombia will have access to the international version of Alexa, which has voice control in Spanish, English, French, German and Italian.

Users can enjoy Alexa on a variety of Sonos voice-controlled devices such as Sonos Roam, Move, Arc, Beam and One.

Set up Amazon Alexa on your Sonos speaker with voice control

To set up Amazon Alexa, it’s important to make sure your Sonos system has the latest software. Before you begin, it is recommended that you open the Amazon Alexa app and sign in with your Amazon account.

1) customize alexa

• In the Sonos app for iOS or Android, tap the Settings.

• Go to the Voice section and select services and voice > Add a voice assistant > Amazon Alexa.

• Sign in to your Sonos account when the app prompts you to do so.

2) Select rooms

• Choose Add to Sonos and you’ll see a list of Sonos speakers that you can set up a voice service for. Select the rooms you want to set up with Amazon Alexa, then click Add Amazon Alexa.

3) Sign in to your Amazon account.

• After selecting speakers, press Login to Amazon to go to the Amazon login page. Follow the onscreen instructions to activate Amazon on your Sonos speaker.

• During setup, you must specify whether you want to activate or deactivate the answer sound when you say “Alexa”. The answer sound is disabled by default, but this option can be changed at any time. Choose Go to the Alexa app when I tell you.

4) Link music services to the Alexa app.

Make sure the music services you link to the Alexa app have been added to the Sonos app..
