The essence of the project
Thanks to replaceRUwithUA, users from all over the world will be able to abandon their Russian software and choose Ukrainian counterparts. The service is convenient and helps not only to find quality software, but also to support Ukrainian developers and the country’s economy.
Our aim is to encourage the maximum number of users not only from Ukraine but from all over the world, abandoning Russian origin software and choosing Ukrainian alternatives, – stated the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
Russian antiviruses are not recommended to be used even in Russia
Recently, Russia’s Federal Service for Technical Export Control warned its defense companies against the use of Russian antiviruses. According to the analysis of information security threats, “foreign hacker groups actively exploit software vulnerabilities in the implementation of computer attacks on the information structure of the Russian Federation.”
Most security issues were found in products such as:
Kaspersky Anti-Virus,
Kaspersky internet security,
Kaspersky Total Security.
Computers using these software products have been known to be hacked and remotely compromised for full control. As a result, hackers were able to access important information.
Generally, the level of hazard associated with their use is rated as “moderate” to “critical.”
