The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to be released in July. As the release date of the phone approaches, it is expected to be included in the databases of various certificate platforms. Recently, the smartphone has been certified by the UAE’s TDRA certification platform.
The TDRA certification reveals nothing new about the phone (2). As you can see in the screenshot, it repeats that the device has the model number “A065”. As a reminder, the original Nothing Phone (1) model number is A063.
Gradually, Nothing reveals the specifications of the future Nothing Phone (2). The company has officially announced that the device will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. Speculations suggest that this screen can support FHD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Another confirmed detail is that the Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Early reviews on Geekbench revealed that the device will be equipped with 12GB of RAM and will run on Android 13.
For a simplified and minimalist experience, the phone will have Nothing OS 2.0 that will be superimposed on the Android operating system. There is no commitment to provide three major Android OS updates and three years of security updates for the phone (2).
The Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by a 4,700mAh battery as confirmed by the brand. However, information about its fast charging capabilities has not been disclosed. Also, specific details about the Nothing Phone (2) camera setup have yet to be revealed. The device is made of environmentally friendly materials and has an aluminum frame.
In related news, a recent leak revealed that the phone (2) was designed using CAD. However, shortly after the images surfaced, Nothing’s founder and CEO Carl Pei called them “fake” on Twitter. This tweet strongly suggests that the leaked images do not fully reflect the actual design of the phone.
