What is the problem

In the Tesla lawsuit, he alleges Yatskov transferred confidential information to a personal computer and refused to return it. Yatskov was hired by Tesla in January as a heating engineer to design Dojo supercomputer cooling systems.

He had access to information about the supercomputer’s cooling system and other confidential information about the project. According to the company, the engineer lied on his resume about his work experience and current skills.

Jackow is also accused of violating a non-disclosure agreement the company made with all Project Dojo members to prevent them from disclosing or keeping confidential information. Meanwhile, Tesla found that Yatskov was sending emails containing confidential information about the project from his personal email address to his business inbox.

Tesla claims that Yatskov admitted to the fact that confidential information was stored on his personal devices when it was revealed. Tesla then sent Yatskov on administrative leave on April 6, 2022, demanding that he provide a computer from which he downloaded confidential information and allegedly removed it from the company’s computing devices. However, the engineer gave the company a fictitious laptop in an attempt to hide the evidence against him.

There was no confidential information on the laptop he provided. According to the lawsuit, this was done to show that “only Tesla can access innocent information such as the offer letter”. On May 2, Yatskov resigned.

In Tesla’s lawsuit, it demands that the former employee return the stolen information and compensate the damage.
