Honor recently confirmed that it will announce a mid-range phone, the Honor X50, on July 5 in China. As the name suggests, it will replace last year’s Honor X40. Reports have revealed that Honor’s phone with model number ALI-AN00, which was recently certified by Chinese certifications like 3C and TENAA, will debut in China as Honor X50. Today, the brand has released a new poster to confirm the phone’s battery size.
The poster confirms that the Honor X50 will receive a 5,800mAh battery, which means it will offer 700mAh more power than its predecessor, the Honor X40. Although the brand has not yet confirmed the fast charging features of the phone, its 3C certification has revealed that it can support 35W fast charging. By comparison, it’s slightly slower than the previous model’s 40W charging capacity.
TENAA certification for the Honor X50 revealed that it will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Like the previous model, it will have a punch-hole display with curved edges. The X50 will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.
Honor X50 will come with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It will run on Android 13 based on Magic UI. For photography, it will have a 108MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera.
In related news, Honor plans to launch the Honor Magic V2 foldable phone right after the X50. The foldable phone is expected to arrive on July 12 in two variants such as Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 with Magic V2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with Magic V2 Supreme Edition. A new flagship tablet could be launched at the same event. from the brand
