It’s halfway through 2023 and it’s time for leaks about the Redmi Note 13 series. The new mid-range lineup will launch in China later this year and reports suggest it will feature MIUI 15 out of the box. While details about the series are still pretty sketchy, the Redmi Note 13 smartphone was spotted on the EEC certification site alongside a mysterious Redmi phone. Details are here.

Technical View EEC has spotted a Redmi smartphone with model number 2312DRAABG on its certification website. The preliminary IMEI listing shows that this model number belongs to the Redmi Note 13 series smartphone, but it is not clear whether this is the vanilla model or one of the Pro phones. The point of sale has also detected an unknown Redmi phone with model number 23090RA98G at EEC. Could this be another phone in the Note 13 series? It’s possible, but we’ll have to wait for more details.

As usual, nothing interesting surfaced in the certificate list, except for the model numbers of the two phones. Leaks regarding the Note 13 series have only just begun to surface, and we expect to see more major developments in the coming days.

Redmi Note 13 phones are currently known to run MIUI 15. The custom skin can be based on Android 13 or Android 14. Reports also claim that the upcoming phones will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a hole in the middle. The bezels on smartphones are said to have no plastic brackets like premium smartphones and have minimal bezels on all four sides.

There is currently no news about the launch date of the phones. A Chinese whistleblower hinted that there will be a launch in the middle of this year.
