The iPhone 15 series is about to be introduced, and so news of Apple’s highly anticipated smartphone lineup is everywhere. Earlier, we talked about Apple’s search for a bezel-less iPhone and the possible delay of the iPhone 15 series. Especially the news about the delay disappointed the users a bit. However, the latest information shows that the company is in good shape. Apple has apparently fixed the initial issues with screen production for the iPhone 15 series and there are currently no signs of lag. Details are hereā¦
Apple is a company with tradition. Therefore, it is usually not difficult to predict what they will do each year. But the company sometimes manages to surprise everyone. For example, until recently the standard iPhone and Pro series were identical except for the camera and size. However, recently, the technology giant has featured two series in terms of both processor and design.
Thus, while the iPhone 14 was launched with a notched design, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max went on sale with the Dynamic Island feature. This situation confused many users and made them feel that these are two different generations of phones. Fortunately, Apple did not force this approach and according to the latest information, it will use the Dynamic Island feature on all its models this year. However, it also caused various problems.
In March 2023, news broke that Apple was having trouble making the screen for the soon-to-be-released iPhone 15 series. This situation worried people who were considering buying a new phone but were waiting for the iPhone 15 series to be released. Fortunately, these problems did not last long. Apple is said to have fixed the initial display manufacturing issues for the iPhone 15 series. As you know, the company has partnered with competitors like Samsung and LG for production.
According to reports, the manufacturer that encountered the problem was LG Display. The company has had a hard time punching holes, especially for the selfie camera and Face ID. After these parts were cut, some dark spots appeared on the OLED screens. Those who have used OLED phones before and have had an accident know that these spots can get bigger and you may not see anything on the screen after a short time. Fortunately, this issue has been resolved. In summary, LG has created an isolated area where the cutting process will take place and the point damaged by the cutting does not spread to the entire screen. This is great news, isn’t it? Not so much.
Unfortunately, there was a specific reason Apple didn’t make the change every year, and that was the cost. However, the company will feature Dynamic Island on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models to maintain its premium feel, and will use a USB-C port instead of Lightning on its phones to avoid problems with the European Union. This means that costs will increase significantly. If the claims are true, the company will increase prices by at least $100 on its new models.
So what do you think about this question? Which do you think is more useful, Dynamic Island or notch?
