Today, Xiaomi announced the launch date of the MIX Fold 3 in China. It will launch in the country on August 14, along with a host of other products. Ahead of next week’s launch, the brand has shared a series of images of the upcoming foldable phone on microblogging platform Weibo. They give us a good all-round view of the device. MIX Fold 3 will appear as the successor to last year’s MIX Fold 2.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 has a slim profile with power and volume buttons located on the right edge. The first performs the function of a fingerprint scanner. Speaker grilles are located at the top and bottom of the device. The USB-C port is also located at the bottom.

MIX Fold 3 has a glossy rectangular module on the back. It includes three camera sensors and a periscopic lens with LED flash. The device has the Leica brand, which confirms its existence from the legendary camera manufacturer. There is also text on the island showing a VARIO SUMMICRON lens with an aperture of f/1.8 to f/2.9, which may be for some sensors.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 has been confirmed to be a black variant with leather texture and a gold color variant with a glass panel on the back. The main screen features a center-aligned hole punch notch, while the inner screen has a notch at the top left of the screen.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun says the company has started developing the Fold 3 from the ground up and rebuilding it from the starting point. With constant effort, Xiaomi engineers have found the optimal solution regarding modern technology and craftsmanship when it comes to the cycle. The Fold 3 was launched as light and thin, setting a new standard for the foldable display.
