The new memory, the first of its kind, promises to significantly improve the power consumption and performance of mobile devices. It has already found application on the latest flagship smartphone of the OPPO company.

Features

  • The RAM module has up to 24 gigabytes.
  • This is the seventh generation LPDDR5X designed for devices such as smartphones and tablets.
  • The memory is designed to minimize power consumption, operates in the ultra-low voltage range of 1.01 to 1.12 volts and It can process 68 gigabytes of data per second.. This is equivalent to transferring 13 full-length HD movies in one second.
  • The company has integrated a High-K Metal Gate (HKMG) process that prevents current leakage and improves capacitance, reducing power consumption and increasing speed.

SK hynix has already started shipping the new product. OPPO’s latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, went into production on August 10.

This new technology will provide users with an optimized multitasking environment and increased battery life. The need for this is especially felt against the backdrop of the spread of artificial intelligence, where improving the performance of semiconductor memory has become a key success factor in the market. New memory may also be needed in other market segments such as PCs, servers, high-performance computing and automobiles.
