Today, ZAGG introduced the Pro Stylus 2, designed as an alternative to the Apple Pencil. It comes in a variety of colors including blue, pink, yellow, gray, and white, and is compatible with all iPads 2018 and later.

The $80 Pro Stylus 2 features a fine nib for precision drawing and writing on one end and a round capacitive nib on the other. A capacitive tip can be used instead of a finger to interact with iPadOS, preventing smudges on the screen.

Like the “Apple Pencil”, the Pro Stylus 2 supports tilt and palm yaw recognition. It comes with a wireless charging stand, but can be magnetically attached to the iPad Pro for charging or charged using a Qi-based charger.

Pressing the tip of the Pro Stylus 2 turns it on so it can connect to the iPad and turns off after 15 minutes to save battery life. The pen is designed to run for up to six and a half hours before it needs to be recharged.
