As Samsung unveils its 2023 foldable phones, the focus of the rumors is slowly shifting to the Galaxy S24 series smartphones, which are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2024. A new leak courtesy of whistleblower Ice Universe reveals key design changes for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus.
Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ with straight edges like iPhone
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus have a flat back and a slightly protruding middle frame. A new leak suggests that the South Korean tech giant will drop this design on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus. Recently, many smartphone manufacturers have adopted the straight-edge design seen on the iPhone. According to the leak, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus are also expected to have flattened edges.
The leak says nothing about the Galaxy S24 Ultra and suggests that the bezel design will be different from the S24 and S24+. Therefore, similar to the approach taken with the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra, it is possible that the S24 Ultra model uses an edge panel design to confirm its uniqueness in terms of design features compared to the S24 and S24+.
Rumors surrounding the Galaxy S24 series suggest that it will be available in Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset variants in various markets. The entire series is said to have the latest M13 OLED panel for better visuals and comes with bidirectional satellite support.
