Two models, two twins
Realme GT5 comes in two models. The first and most striking of these, 240W charging. It promises to reach 50% of its capacity in just seven minutes, and the main sacrifice of such fast charging is that its milliamp hours are “only” 4,600 mAh. The 150W version goes up to 5,240mAh and the truth is, batteries with less fast charging tend to have higher capacity.
Internal memory configurations also vary. We are talking about the 240W model. 1TB + 24GB RAMinsane capabilities for users who want the most hardware that can be bought on an Android. The processor, of course, is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is Qualcomm’s best SoC so far this year.
The screen is 6.74 inches, 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. The peak brightness of 1,400 nits seems more than adequate, and a high PWM of 2,160 Hz is promised to save us from visual fatigue.
The photo-level offering comes with a Sony-signed main sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The other two sensors, the 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 2-megapixel macro, don’t seem to bother the high end.
Versions and price of Realme GT5
- Realme GT 5 with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs around 380 euros for 2,999 yuan.
- Realme GT 5 with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage costs 3,999 yuan (about 507 euros).
