Galaxy S22 series gets a security update in September

We reported this before SAMSUNG will release the OneUI 6.0 beta program for the series Galaxy S22. Before the OneUI 6.0 update, the South Korean tech giant started to release the September security patch for the Galaxy S22 series in Europe.

According to a recent report from SAMmobile, owners Galaxy S22Users identified by the model number SM-S90XB can now update their device with the latest September 2023 software update. This update resolves 62 vulnerabilities identified in the previous version of the software. Of these vulnerabilities, specifically provided by Google, four were classified as Critical and nineteen as High.

In addition, Samsung fixed a total of 35 vulnerabilities detected in various applications, including the Samsung Keyboard app, security settings, Samsung Knox AI, Dual Messenger and Messages apps. This update, which is approximately 235 MB in size, will be available for devices with firmware version S90xBXXS6CWH6. It is worth noting that this new update will support OneUI 5.1 version.

Those who do not receive the update automatically can go to: Settings > Software Update > Download and install to download manually. One thing to note is that the update is currently available in Europe and when it will be available in other regions is still to be determined.
