Samsung’s next flagships will be released in January next year, and we’re already seeing multiple sources revealing hardware details. As always, the Ultra model Galaxy S24 Ultra attracts attention. The smartphone is expected to launch with a more discreet camera system, possibly a new 200MP camera sensor. Some changes are also expected in the zoom camera department; The tip now indicates that there is a 48MP telephoto lens on the device.
Tipster Itnyang (@hyacokr_itnyang), whose account is no longer on Twitter/X, claimed that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have to settle for a 48 MP sensor with 5x zoom. The source said that Samsung initially planned to use a 50-megapixel sensor with 10x zoom, but abandoned these plans due to image quality concerns.

In a separate leak, Ice Universe claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The sensor is said to be 1/2.52-inch, which is larger than the 1/3.52-inch sensor used in the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 10-megapixel telephoto camera. The same tipster also revealed that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 200MP ISOCELL HP2SX camera sensor, which is an optimized version of the ISOCELL HP2 used in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It reportedly has an optical aspect ratio of 0.7692 inches and an individual pixel size of 0.7 micrometers.
In general, we can see a more hidden camera system in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Along with all this, the phone will also bring other hardware improvements. First, it is expected to have a titanium frame, a brighter OLED panel and a faster processor; these could be Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
