The device may become warm in the first few days after installation or restoration due to increased background activity. We also discovered a bug in iOS 17 that is affecting some users and will be fixed with a software update. Another problem is related to some new third-party software updates that overload the system. We’re working with these app developers on fixes that are now rolling out.

The bug should be fixed in iOS 17.1, which is currently in beta and is expected to be released in late October. It is also possible that Apple will make bug fixes sooner with a smaller software update such as iOS 17.0.3.

According to the report, Apple will not reduce the performance of the A17 Pro chip as part of fixing temperature-related errors. Apple also said that the issue does not pose a security threat and will not affect the long-term performance of affected iPhones.
