Huawei recently launched the Mate 60 series flagship phones and the Mate X5 foldable phone with Kirin 9000. It is also reported that the brand is working on Enjoy 70, Nova 11 SE and Nova 12 series smartphones for the Chinese market. According to a Chinese source, the brand is also working on a new flagship phone that is very similar to the Honor Magic 5 Pro.
Unfortunately, the leak does not offer any specific information about the name of the device. Huawei is said to be developing a series of Huawei P70 flagship smartphones, but it is unclear whether this refers to one of the P70 variants or a completely different product. Rumor has it that the choice between Snapdragon or Kirin chip for the Huawei phone remains a mystery, especially since the Magic 5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
Honor Magic 5 Pro features a 6.81-inch LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1312 x 2848 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and its highest configuration offers 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage.
The rear camera of Magic 5 Pro consists of three 50 megapixel cameras. It consists of a main camera with optical image stabilization support, an ultra wide-angle lens with a 122-degree viewing angle, and a periscopic telephoto camera with optical image stabilization support and 3.5x optical zoom support. On the front of the device, there is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view and a ToF 3D sensor for 3D facial recognition.
While the Chinese version of Magic 5 Pro has a 5,450mAh battery, the global version has a 5,100mAh battery. The flagship phone supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also has 5W reverse wireless charging feature.
