Every year, Apple releases a new iPhone series that brings new improvements and features over previous models. The iPhone 15 series was recently launched with some major updates, and now we have an idea of some of the improvements coming to the iPhone 16 Pro models.
Update to Apple iPhone 16 Pro
This was reported by well-known analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International Securities. Recently, an analyst confirmed that the Cupertino-based giant will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 modem in the new generation iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. And now he stated that certain updates will be available for the high-end iPhone 16 Pro series as well.
Jeff Pugh says his estimate is based on sources within Apple’s supply chain. In addition to taller displays, the company will equip the iPhone 16 Pro with the same 12-megapixel tetraprism lens as the Pro Max model for 5x optical zoom. This telephoto camera will reportedly be paired with a new 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. This will be a noticeable upgrade to the 12-megapixel ultrawide camera on the current-generation iPhone.
Finally, Jeff Pu stated that the iPhone 16 Pro series will support the Wi-Fi 7 standard, which can provide data transfer speeds of up to 46 Gbps. Other notable features of the new iPhone 16 Pro models include the 3 nm A18 Pro SoC, 8 GB RAM and faster Qualcomm 5G modem.
