OnePlus Open Finally today, the company introduced its first foldable phone at a global event in Mumbai, India. The leaks and rumors leading up to today’s unveiling have left nothing to the imagination about the device. Specifically, the OnePlus Open for global markets is the same as OPPO’s Find N3 (also announced today) for the Chinese market. In short, both devices are the same.
OnePlus Open specifications and features
The OnePlus Open is a compact, almost wallet-sized foldable phone from the start. It has a square form factor with an alert slider on the left. There is a large, circular protruding camera module on the back. OnePlus equipped the hinge of its foldable phone with aviation-grade materials. It is announced that it will last ten years with 1,000,000 ratings. In addition, the folding on the device is almost not noticeable.
Coming to the display, OnePlus Open has a 6.3-inch external display and a 7.82-inch internal display. Both displays are equipped with an LTPO AMOLED panel with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 2800 nits. The outer screen is covered with Ceramic Protection, which is said to provide 20 percent more impact resistance compared to Gorilla Glass Victus. At the same time, the internal screen has ultra-thin glass.
In the photography department, the OnePlus Open has Hasselblad-branded triple rear cameras. The setup features a 1/1.43-inch 48-megapixel Sony LYTIA-T808 main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a third 64-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens with 6x optical zoom. The outer and inner displays feature a 20-megapixel and 32-megapixel camera sensor respectively, housed in a cutout with punch-holes for selfies and video calls.
OnePlus Open is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, includes 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 TB UFS 4.0 storage. The foldable phone is powered by a 4,800mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. In terms of software, it runs OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. It is guaranteed to receive four years of operating system updates and five years of security patches.
OnePlus Open includes Wi-Fi 7, dual 5G, X-Axis linear motor, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C port, NFC, and more.

OnePlus Open is available in Voyager Black and Emerald Green colours. Its price starts at Rs 139,999 in India, pre-orders start tomorrow and the first sale is on October 27. ICICI and OneCard customers can avail an instant discount of Rs 5,000 on their purchases and there are also Jio benefits worth Rs 15,000. There is also a bonus of Rs 8,000 on selected devices.
