There is only one day left to meet Xiaomi 14, a model that will come with the Pro variant. The company itself, via Weibo, is sharing several key aspects of the “base” model, which is a high-end model that will have high-end features. Although it is a little more economical than its older brother.

The brightest screen on the market (at least on paper), the best processor on the market, and a redesigned operating system. Xiaomi 14 will be one of the most ambitious phones of the moment.

The recently introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the best processor of the moment on paper (or that’s what the benchmarks say), will be the processor of choice for Xiaomi’s next high-end generation. There is no news yet about the RAM and internal storage it will include.

As for the panel, it will be relatively small, 6.36 inches. The resolution will be 1.5K, slightly higher than FHD+ and offering 460 pixels per inch. The most striking thing is peak brightness: 3,000 nits. It’s not yet clear whether the shape is completely real and on what percentage of the panel it’s discernible, but there couldn’t be a better picture on paper. Thanks to LTPO technology, the refresh rate will go up to 120 Hz and drop to 1 Hz.

At the photography level, the collaboration with Leica has been confirmed, and although there is no official news about megapixels, we know that the sensor will be completely new. Likewise, the camera will be triple: ultra wide angle, wide angle and telephoto lens.

We will learn the rest of the features of this model tomorrow, which is the first model to come with HyperOS, a redesign of MIUI that goes beyond the personalization layer. Xiaomi claims to have modified much of Android’s code to create a complete “operating system” that it will share with other products in its ecosystem.
