The company recently launched Vivo Y200 and Y55t. However, it looks like a new Y series announcement is coming soon. The device in question is the Vivo Y100 model, some of whose important features have been officially announced.

Vivo Y100 teaser reveals key features

The brand published posters on its official Weibo account (Chinese microblogging site) with promotional images confirming some of its specifications and features. The Y100 is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery under the hood.

Vivo claims that the smartphone will have a thin design (7.49 mm thickness and 181 grams weight) despite such a large battery. Meanwhile, there will be a dual camera setup on the back panel, with the main sensor having a resolution of 64 megapixels and supporting OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).

That’s not all, the company has also confirmed that Vivo Y100 will launch with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. In fact, the device’s memory can be expanded by 12 GB with the help of virtual RAM. We already know that the front panel has a long curved AMOLED display, but another teaser confirms that the panel will offer a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

It is worth noting that the upcoming Chinese version of the Vivo Y100 is different from the Indian version of the device of the same name. As a reminder, this model had a 6.38-inch flat AMOLED panel and was equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC processor. The Chinese version of Y100 will be announced in China on October 27, 2023 at 14:30 ET. Stay tuned for more as we cover the launch event.
