The network specialist Cisco has new wearables in its range. The American company is launching a range of wireless earphones, again a collaboration with audio specialist Bang & Olufsen.

Two years ago, Cisco released large headphones together with Bang & Olufsen. This collaboration will also produce a new wearable this year. This time it is a set of wireless earbuds: the Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950.

It’s in his ears

The earphones are optimized for the Webex communications platform and Cisco’s other collaboration solutions. The new edition from the two partners was developed specifically for IT and business users and is also ideal for hybrid working. Particular attention is paid to security, usability and the necessary software, without losing sight of functionality.

Key features and functions include:

  • Adaptive active noise cancellation
  • Extra long battery life
  • In-ear notifications
  • Pairing with Bluetooth 5.2
  • Water resistant

IT teams can manage the earbuds from the central dashboard of Cisco’s Webex Control Hub platform. These teams can also monitor inventory and usage of the wearables.

Compatibility exists with both Android and iOS devices and headphones take priority during calls and meetings. They have an ergonomic design with four sets of silicone tips and one set of foam tips. Nice detail, one earphone has the Cisco logo, the other that of B&O.

The wait for the new gadgets won’t be long, the earphones will be available from November. Currently only available in very dark anthracite gray. No price has been announced yet.

It is undoubtedly pleasing for Cisco to report positive news again following recent security incidents.
