Samsung has announced Galaxy AI, an artificial intelligence initiative designed to improve user experience on its future devices. According to the company, this end-to-end AI solution uses both on-device AI developed by Samsung and cloud-based AI powered by collaboration with industry partners including companies like Microsoft and Google. As a result, Galaxy AI is poised to improve various aspects of daily mobile use while prioritizing security and privacy.

Galaxy AI: Challenge AI Live Translation

One of the key features of Galaxy AI is AI Live Translate Call, which is expected to debut on the latest Samsung phones, most likely the Galaxy S24 series. This innovative feature seamlessly integrates a personal translator into your local search functions, eliminating the need for third-party applications. It offers real-time voice and text translation during conversations, making communicating with speakers of other languages as easy as turning on subtitles on a TV show. To keep conversations private, Galaxy AI runs entirely on the device.

Samsung has confirmed that Galaxy AI will be released in early 2024, suggesting that the feature will be available on the Galaxy S24 series for the first time. A recent report suggests that the company may unveil the S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3/Exynos 2400 series on January 17.

Wonjoon Choi, vice president and head of research and development of the Mobile Experience Business Unit, highlighted the transformative potential of Galaxy AI. “Mobile technology has the power to connect people on a global scale, increase productivity and unleash creativity, and Galaxy AI represents a comprehensive step in this direction,” he said.

Samsung is not alone in its search for smartphones based on artificial intelligence. Other leading smartphone brands are also developing their own artificial intelligence models. It seems that by 2024, the integration of artificial intelligence into smartphones will become increasingly common as manufacturers strive to improve user experience and capabilities.
