Xiaomi is testing a mysterious phone with a 3.2x75mm periscopic zoom camera

Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphones Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro in China. These were later followed by premium Redmi phones (Redmi K70 series). According to sources, the company is still not done with the new generation of high-end phones. We know for sure that the company will introduce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in the first half of 2024, which may be accompanied or followed by foldable models.

According to new information, another high-end smartphone may be released from the company. Earlier today, Digital Chat Station (DCS) reported that Xiaomi was testing a phone with a 3.2x75mm periscope zoom camera. In the comments section of the Weibo post, the tipster clarified that the device is not Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Unfortunately, the name of the product is not written. Maybe he’s not sure about that right now.

At this point all we can do is guess. We believe this phone could be Xiaomi Mix 5. At the same time, we cannot ignore the possibility of it being the new Civi model. Hopefully we’ll learn more about this mysterious product soon.

As for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, DCS had previously reported that it will be equipped with four 50-megapixel cameras on the back. The main shooter will be a Sony LYT-900 sensor with f/1.6–14.0 aperture. Two of these four cameras will be paired with telephoto lenses, while the second will be equipped with an ultra-wide lens. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and will have a quad curved (micro curved) display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor underneath.

Finally, it is said that the smartphone will be supported by a 5,180mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging standards.
