OnePlus is rolling out a new firmware update for its OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8 smartphones in India. OnePlus 9R gets firmware OxygenOS 13.1.0.585and gets OnePlus 8 OxygenOS 13.1.0.585 renovation. Both smartphones receive the latest security patch via optional OTA. However, after a few days, there is a slight delay for the OnePlus 8 Pro to receive the same update.
According to the official changelog, both smartphones will receive the December 2023 Android security patch, which will strengthen overall security. There may also be minor bug fixes and performance improvements that are not listed in the official changelog.
Since this is a rolling update, users may experience a delay of a few days in receiving the update. Such updates are initially rolled out to a small number of users and are rolled out to wider availability after successful testing. An interested user can also check the date manually by going to the device. Settings > About > Software Update > Check for updates.
If any user finds any bug while using the latest version, they can always report it by dialing *#800# via Google Dialer or by visiting the OnePlus Community.
OnePlus is rolling out the latest Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 update for its compatible smartphones. Most smartphones including OnePlus 11 Series, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10R, OnePlus Nord 3 and< a i=9> OnePlus Pad has already received relevant updates.
