Realme GT 5 Pro is the brand’s latest flagship smartphone. It was introduced earlier this month and has been on sale since mid-December. Before the device went on sale, the company also announced that it would be produced in limited numbers to celebrate reaching 200 million units. Now, a few days later, the company has announced a new SKU due to consumer demand.
Earlier today, Realme VP Si Qi Chase announced that Realme GT 5 Pro in Black (Starry Night) will soon be available in 1TB + 16GB storage configuration. The first sale of this option will take place tomorrow (December 29) at 10 am local time (GMT+8).
Initially, the 1TB version of the phone was announced only in orange (Red Rock) and cream (Bright Moon) colors. These color variants feature a leather back as opposed to the glass panel on the black (Starry Night) version. The manager did not mention the price in his Weibo post. So the black 1TB version of the phone probably costs the same ¥4,299 as both shades.
Realme GT 5 Pro has a 6.78 inch curved OLED display. The 10-bit panel offers 2780 × 1264 pixel resolution, 144 Hz (LTPO) refresh rate and 4500 nits native peak brightness level. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip coupled with LPDDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It boots Realme UI 14 based on Android 5.0.
On the back of the device, there is a triple camera system that includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 main sensor, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide unit and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 3x periscope telephoto camera. There is a 32 megapixel camera on the front.
The smartphone is equipped with dual stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster and IP54 rating. Finally, it has a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
