Xiaomi’s new operating system HyperOS has started to be available on Xiaomi 13T Pro devices in Europe. Available with a 5.8 GB download option, the update packs HyperOS 1.0.3.0 on top of Android 14 and the latest December security patch.
However, users hoping for a serious departure from MIUI may be disappointed. HyperOS looks more like a modified iteration of MIUI than a major overhaul. The overall look and feel is familiar, with some minor tweaks and improvements.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything new. The update promises performance optimizations specific to each device, and Xiaomi also claims improvements in power efficiency and signal stability.
The lock screen now offers more customization options with different effects and styles. Home screen icons have also been updated and the multi-window interface has been revamped. The update also includes Google’s latest Android 14 improvements. Since the rollout is gradual, Xiaomi 13T Pro users should receive the update within the next few days. The device is guaranteed to receive major operating system updates for four years; There are three years left after the arrival of Android 14.
To summarize, Xiaomi 13T Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. The smartphone also has IP68 water and dust protection certification. On the back, you get a triple camera setup led by a 50MP Leica primary sensor with OIS. It comes with a 50MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide camera with 50mm focal length. There is a 20 MP selfie camera on the front. The smartphone can record 8K video at 24 frames per second and also supports 10-bit LOG recording.
The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor. It has up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. There is also a heat dissipation system that keeps the phone under control.
