A group of scientists from the National University of Defense Technologies has developed a “low-temperature plasma shield” that protects sensitive microcircuits from electromagnetic weapons with a power of up to 170 kilowatts, hitting from a distance of up to three meters. In the past, protection of electronic devices was mainly limited to microcircuits. However, with the increase in the power of offensive weapons, additional measures were needed: protective layers consisting of metamaterials that change their physical structure to resist electromagnetic waves. However, these systems could not simultaneously cope with the dangers of temperature rise and electronic interference.
