The rollout of OxygenOS 14.0.0.401 update (CPH2447_14.0.0.401(EX01)) is officially underway for OnePlus 11 users in India. Here’s a short list of major changes:

System improvements:

  • Integrated the January 2024 Android security patch to improve system security.
  • Increases system stability and performance.
  • It extends battery life in some scenarios.
  • Fixed an issue where you might not be able to switch between some apps during recent missions.
  • Fixes a screen flickering issue that may occur when you tap on the current search prompt in the status bar.
  • Addresses an issue that could cause Smart Sidebar to stop working.
  • The background streaming feature in Smart Sidebar has been removed.
  • Updates ROM activation and optimizes application compression to increase performance stability.

Interconnect fix:

  • Fixes a bug in the settings on the car screen.
  • Fixes an issue where Car Connect may not automatically connect to your vehicle.

In keeping with OnePlus’ gradual approach, the over-the-air (OTA) update will initially reach a limited user base, with a wider rollout expected in the coming days.

In related news, OnePlus is gearing up for the global launch of its flagship smartphone OnePlus 12 on January 23. But that’s not all, as the brand will also launch the OnePlus 12R, which is a rebranded version of the recently launched OnePlus Ace 3 and the OnePlus Buds 3 that was recently launched in China. Expectations are high for the OnePlus 12 as we have seen it perform quite well in gaming scenarios (for a non-gaming smartphone).

OnePlus 12 will also include hardware and software from Pixelworks to enhance the gaming experience. For those interested in camera capabilities, we’ve done an in-depth analysis of the OnePlus 12’s camera system, including a head-to-head comparison with the Realme GT5 Pro. Wait for the official presentation.
