Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra came first in the DXOMARK display test. It outperforms rivals like Google Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The last generation flagship of the South Korean brand also has a better screen than its predecessor. DXOMARK ran a series of tests on various aspects of the display on the S24 Ultra. The benchmarking platform says it evaluates the results of a variety of objective and perceptual tests in controlled laboratory and real-world environments.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has the best screen

In the DXOMARK leadership ranking, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra ranked first in the world with 155 points. Google’s Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 are just one point behind in second and third place. S24 Ultra’s rival, iPhone 15 Pro Max, ranks seventh with 149 points. Last year’s Galaxy S23 Ultra also ranks twelfth, which shows just how much progress Samsung has made in improving its display on its latest flagship.

DXOMARK adds that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra offers good sunlight readability with a claimed peak brightness of 2,600 nits. This gives it a readability score of 161, which is just one point less than the Pixel 8 Pro. The phone’s display also features Corning’s latest Gorilla Armor, which reportedly reduces glare by up to 75 percent. In direct sunlight, the user does not need to seek shade or cover the screen with his hand to read the content on the screen. But in benchmark testing, screen brightness was inconsistent under other conditions. It was very high at night and very low inside. Brightness was also high when watching videos in low light conditions. The phone is said to provide accurate color reproduction and fix frame rate inconsistencies.
