Realme’s new smartphone with model number RMX3851 was seen on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Although the official name of the phone is not yet known, the listing shows that it is equipped with a high-end processor.
Realme RMX3851 is powered by an SoC codenamed ‘ananapple’ (model number Snapdragon SM8635). It is said that this chip has been the subject of speculation before and probably belongs to the Snapdragon 8 series, which is a slightly toned down version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
The ‘Pineapple’ codename further supports this theory as it is consistent with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 internal codename.
Anyway, the listing shows an octa-core architecture for the pineapple chip. It has a clock speed of 3.01 GHz for the high-performance core, 2.61 GHz for four performance cores, and 1.84 GHz for three performance cores. It is also equipped with Adreno 735 GPU for graphics.
Thanks to these features, this new mysterious Realme smartphone can get 1512 Geekbench points in the single-core test and 3799 Geekbench points in the multi-core test. The list also reveals that the phone runs on the latest Android 14 operating system and will offer up to 16 GB of RAM.
In addition to the Geekbench listing, the Realme RMX3851 has also been certified by the EEC, but the certification does not reveal any additional details about the device. More details about this smartphone are likely to emerge in the coming weeks or months.
While details about the RMX3851 are unknown, Realme is actively preparing for the launch of Realme 12+. An affordable addition to the Realme 12 series, this device is currently scheduled to launch in Malaysia and is scheduled to launch in India in early March.
