There are details about the camera of the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 12 Ultra, created with the participation of experts from Leica. The well-known insider Digital Chat Station said that the liquid lens released in the Xiaomi Mix FOLD has been replaced for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The new flagship will be equipped with a liquid lens that combines wide-angle and macro lenses.

The blogger also said that the liquid lens sits at the center of the main camera’s large module, which is quite large, consistent with previous descriptions. Digital Chat Station added that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature a curved OLED display on both sides and a single-chip Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 system. The phone will receive fast charging support as well as new image processing technology.

As for the cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica, a representative of the latter company recently said: “We invested over 100 years of Leica experience in the new Xiaomi project”.
