Four years ago, French Avenir Telecom, which has the license to use the Energizer brand, introduced a smartphone with an 18,000 mAh battery at the annual MWC. Since then, the company’s engineers have not been idle and the developer has already demonstrated a smartphone to the public at MWC 2024 Hard Case P28KIts main feature is a 28,000 mAh battery.

Like its predecessor, the Hard Case P28K will be sold under the Energizer brand. Thus, the Energizer Hard Case P28K device received the most capacious battery that was once installed in mass-produced smartphones. According to the developers, one battery charge is enough to ensure autonomous operation of the device for a week. In talk mode, the smartphone can work without recharging for up to 122 hours (more than 5 days), and in standby mode, autonomy increases to 2252 hours (almost 94 days). The battery supports fast charging with up to 33W of power.

The disadvantage of the smartphone is size and weight, as well as unimpressive devices. Due to the fact that the device has such a powerful battery, its thickness is 27.8 mm and its weight is 570 g, which is more than three times the thickness and weight of the iPhone 15. Innovation will definitely not suit the device.

As for other parameters, we note that fifth generation (5G) communication networks are not supported. A regular MediaTek MT6789 microprocessor was chosen as the hardware basis, complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The design provides a 6.78-inch LCD screen with 1080p resolution support and a triple main camera. Google Android 14 is used as the software platform.

Avenir Telekom plans to sell the Energizer Hard Case P28K for $250. The smartphone will go on sale in October this year.
