Its precision engineering leaves little room for maneuver and error, and this may be the reason for reports of an external defect, most interestingly, that occurs precisely when no one is using the device.

What happened to Apple Vision Pro?

According to the source, posts with similar images and descriptions began to appear on Reddit, and headphone owners mentioned that the glass was broken in the middle, near the bridge of the nose.

All users claim that it is Left Apple Vision Pros connected to battery and hid overnight. Experts suggest that charging with a soft cover in a travel bag can cause problems with the glass overheating, which can cause the glass to expand and crack at its weakest point.

So far, no similar reports of cracks have appeared on the Apple Support forums, in X, or anywhere else on the internet other than Reddit. Apple has not commented on the situation at all and likely won’t unless it detects a larger trend. It seems the problem is not widespread.

If Apple doesn’t officially identify the problem as a manufacturing defect, it may not cover the crack under the device’s warranty. Those who contacted Apple Support were told they would be charged a $300 AppleCare fee for the repair. Without AppleCare, the protective glass would cost $800 to repair.
