At the first stage of submitting applications, Xiaomi reported that it received a large number of applications: Over 50,000 orders received in the first 27 minutes. Potential buyers are required to place a deposit of 5,000 yuan to secure their purchase, and deliveries are expected to begin in early April.
What can SU7 do?
The technical specifications of Xiaomi SU7 were previously announced during the official presentation in December 2023. These stylish sedans seat five passengers and run on HyperOS technology, which integrates seamlessly with Xiaomi smartphones. Additionally, all models will be equipped with the autonomous driving function, which will initially be available in some cities in China.
The SU7’s power ranges from 299 to 673 horsepower, depending on the chosen configuration. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h ranged from 5.28 seconds in the basic model to 2.78 seconds in the top version.
The range of the standard model on a single charge is 700 km, the range of the Pro model is 830 km and the range of the Max model is 800 km.
Additionally, all models support fast charging, but the charging speed depends on the type of battery.
Standard and Pro models can travel 350 kilometers with 15 minutes of charging;
The Max model can travel 510 kilometers in the same time.
Compared with the entry-level Tesla Model 3, the Xiaomi SU7 demonstrates excellent acceleration: the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 6.1 seconds, and the increased range is 606 kilometers.
Although the launch in China has received great attention, Xiaomi has not yet announced a timeline for the global expansion of the SU7 to other markets.
