There are many lists we have to include Don’t Starve in, and it excels in all of them. Released by Klei Entertainment, who was also its developer, in April 2013, it quickly began to gain relevance due to the high quality of the title in all aspects, as evidenced by checking its ratings on Steam, where both the total accumulated and the most recent ones are extremely positive. An assessment that I certainly share completely.

Its graphic part created a schoolas we subsequently saw her reproduced in many other titles, her contributions to the roguelike and survival genres also became master class For the whole sector, on the plot plane of the jewels, its gameplay surprises from the first moment, the soundtrack completely takes us into a terrifying story… it is very difficult to look for negative points. The only criticism I made from the first moment, which also applies to Oxigen not Included (another gem from the same studio), is that it has not been translated into Spanish in all these years, although fortunately the community has already been responsible for filling this gap.

In these years Kley released three DLCs in addition to Don’t Starve Together and that, like the original title, it received excellent reviews and allowed us to continue to enjoy Don’t Starve after many hours of play. In other words, we are talking about a title that, eleven years after its launch, is still very much alive, with a very active community, and which continues to add new fans even today, in addition to maintaining the interest of those who have been there for a long time.

Whether you’re one of those people, or you don’t know him yet, but what you’ve just read has sparked some curiosity in you, then you’ll be glad that Don’t Starve will soon have its own board gameand which will also be signed by Rafał Pieczynski, responsible for another particularly successful adaptation of the board game Frostpunk: The Board Game, and which will feature Jakub Wisniewski, who also participated in the board game Frostpunk and This War of Mine.

At the moment This adaptation is listed on Kickstarter, although the funding campaign has not yet begun. However, I’m betting we’ll see a similar response to what we saw with the Stardew Valley board, as in both cases we’re talking about games from the indie scene that have become benchmarks thanks to great work. So maybe I’m wrong, but I bet the initial funding goal for the Don’t Starve board game will be reached within hours. Of course, we will have to wait for more information about this modification, as the campaign launch date has not been announced at this time,
