Zuckerberg shared news of the company’s achievements in this area in a recent interview with technology entrepreneur Roberto Nixon. 24 Channels.

What is known about the gadget

The bracelet, which is currently in active development, will use electromyography (EMG) to decode nerve signals from the brain to the hand. Thanks to this, the owner of the device will be able to: control the gadget by sending commands “with the power of thought”.

It’s worth noting that the device is just a concept at the moment, and Zuckerberg himself is still in the early stages of Meta’s journey, with the first version of the device yet to be released.

Despite everything, the Meta president emphasized the development and technology potential of technology and even talked about it. Integration with Ray-Ban augmented reality smart glasses (previously developed by Meta in collaboration with the eyewear brand). Such a tandem is designed to improve interaction with the user thanks to multi-modal artificial intelligence. At the same time, it is unknown when we might see such a gadget in action.

You can listen to what Zuckerberg said about the bracelet in this video:

When will the bracelet be released?

It is currently unknown exactly when we should expect the Meta bracelet to appear. Considering that the gadget has just begun development, it may take at least a few years. Zuckerberg also states this and adds that such an EMG bracelet has many advantages over the brain implants developed by Neuralink.

  • Freedom from constraints and autonomy come first.
  • The device will also be able to track movements and adapt personally to its owner thanks to artificial intelligence.
  • The same artificial intelligence will help users control devices with subtle hand movements and brain commands.

Meanwhile, regarding Neuralink, the company is currently actively testing its brain implants on humans. The first patient has already demonstrated the development capabilities of Elon Musk’s company. Yes, thanks to his neural implant, he can play computer games and even send messages to social network X.
