Dell is launching four new laptops in the Inspiron series. Most devices have the latest Intel Core CPUs on board, but Dell also offers an AMD option for one variant.
Dell is introducing four new Inspiron laptops in two different sizes. First and foremost are the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 and the Inspiron 16 Plus. As the name suggests, both laptops have a 16-inch screen. Dell uses an aspect ratio of 16:10 for both devices. The laptops can be configured with different panels and have a maximum resolution of 2,500 x 1,600 pixels.
Dell doesn’t offer an AMD option for these laptops, so you can only choose from Intel Core Ultra series chips. You can configure the Inspiron 16 Plus with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 if you want more graphics performance. The 2-in-1 has a foldable touchscreen, the Plus is less flexible.
If you want a size smaller, you can choose between the Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 or the Inspiron 14 Plus. The specifications are similar, but the screen diagonal is smaller (14 inches 16:10). These two laptops, by definition, have to rely on their integrated graphics capabilities, as Dell doesn’t offer an option with a discrete GPU.
Again, Intel’s Core Ultra processors are ubiquitous, although Dell gives you the option of opting for AMD’s latest processors with the Inspiron 14 2-in-1. AMD continues to be treated somewhat harshly in the laptop world. Although the Ryzen 8040 series chips represent interesting competitors to Intel’s performance, Dell, like other manufacturers, is finding it difficult to develop an equivalent offering for both processor manufacturers.
We still have to wait a bit for the Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1, but the new Inspiron laptops with Intel are already available. For the Inspiron 16 2-in-1 you pay at least 1,089.99 euros, the 16 Plus is available from 1,149 euros. The Inspiron 14 2-in-1 costs at least 869 euros and the Inspiron 16 Plus has a starting price of 1,229 euros.
