Desktop DIMMs and ECC DIMMs, mobile SO-DIMMs and ECC SO-DIMMs, and Registered DIMMs for servers and desktop workstations will be available. The capacity of the modules, depending on the modification, is 8, 16 and 32 GB.
The operating frequency starts at 4800 MHz at a supply voltage of 1.1 V. Mass production of products is now organized, and various compatibility tests are carried out.
A feature of the new DDR5 modules is the presence of a built-in integrated power management circuit (PMIC) for accurate data transmission and energy efficiency. ECC automatic debugging tools are also provided on the die.

New sanctions from Taiwan to Russia
It will be reminded that the Taiwan government, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of semiconductor products, including processors, has imposed new sanctions on Russia and Belarus.
Chips with a clock speed of more than 25 megahertz have been added to the export ban list. Also, the sanctions included the lithographic equipment used to make such chips.
Other technological sanctions against Russia:
- Siemens left the Russian market after nearly 170 years of operation. The company stopped all its work in the invader market in March. It also stopped new deliveries.
- The 2026 and 2028 Olympic Games will not be broadcast in Russia and Belarus. Countries were not even allowed to participate in the tender for the purchase of television rights to show the Olympic Games.
- Huawei has stopped selling equipment in Russia and is not responding to requests for supplies. Operators are currently debating major lawsuits against one of the vendors to force the others to cooperate, but experts and lawyers doubt the effectiveness of such a strategy.
- Russian airports are losing their luggage and passenger screening equipment. Read what the results will be.
- We also explained why China will not help Russia on semiconductors.
