It was previously reported Xiaomi is working on a new generation foldable phone Xiaomi Mix Folding 4It reportedly could be the thinnest foldable phone on the market.

Estimated MIIT certification for Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 case

The phone with model number 24072PX77C has now been certified for network access by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies (MIIT). This device supports NR SA/NR NSA/TD-LTE/LTE FDD/WCDMA/CDMA 1X/GSM standard.

It also supports Tiantong satellite connectivity and Advanced Mobile Broadband technology. For those who don’t know, Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) is a category of 5G service that offers more bandwidth and lower latency compared to 4G services. eMBB can handle new applications that require high data rates, such as 8K video streaming, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR).

According to Weibo Tipster Digital Chat Station, the model number corresponds to Mix Fold 4. The phone may also support 5.5G or 5g-Advanced, which is considered the next step in the evolution of 5G technology. It is expected to improve 5G in terms of speed, latency, and efficiency.

The phone will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which powers many new flagships such as the Xiaomi 14 series. It will offer wired and wireless fast charging, although specific charging speeds have not yet been confirmed. According to an earlier leak from Digital Chat Station, the phone will offer upgraded 100W wired fast charging. For context, the Mix Fold 3 offers 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Mix Fold 4 will reportedly offer a 50-megapixel quad camera with a 5x periscope telephoto lens, just like its predecessor. The main sensor and ultrawide sensor on the Mix Fold 4 could be OV50E and OV13B respectively. Mix Fold 3 offers 3.2x telephoto and 5x periscopic telephoto. According to ITHome, the 3.2x telephoto can be replaced by 2x, and the 2x and 5x telephoto modules will be equipped with OV60A and S5K3K1 sensors respectively.
