Company Nothing released an update Nothing OS 2.6 for users Nothing Phone (1). This update was previously released Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a)The update includes new features, game mode improvements, and important bug fixes as well as security fixes from July 2024.

Nothing Phone (1) Nothing OS 2.6 update changelog:

New features and improved experience

• 4 new wallpapers added.
• Added support for deleting wallpaper history in Wallpaper Studio.
• Security patches updated to July 2024.

Game mode improvements

• Tap on the left sidebar of a game to get quick access to the game bar while playing.
• Incoming calls during the game can now be viewed in a pop-up window.
• Added support for rejecting calls from third-party apps during gameplay.
• Support one-touch call back after rejecting a normal call.
• Optimized notification lights to display more information when playing in landscape mode.
• Support blocking notifications while gaming to reduce distractions.

Error correction

• Optimized the fast recovery mechanism for blocked network data connections to improve network stability.
• Fixed an issue where some carriers would allow calls to be accepted but not on weekends.
• Fixed an issue that caused the lock screen to overlap in certain scenarios.
• Fixed an issue where some apps were unable to properly use the cloned apps feature.
• Other general bug fixes.

Like most firmware updates, the Nothing OS 2.6 update is rolling out in phases. If you haven’t received the OTA notification yet, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > System > System Update.

In related news, Nothing is set to launch a new device called the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. Official details about the device are still under wraps, but we can expect to get more information once the brand confirms July 31 as the launch date.
