Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published the details of the front camera’s most important upgrade to be featured on the iPhone 14 in recent years. Apple will add an autofocus system to the front camera of the iPhone 14, significantly improving the quality of selfies and videos. Genius and Cowell will be suppliers. The aperture of the iPhone 14’s front camera will reportedly be F/1.9.
Major hardware updates include the addition of a new VCM driver from Alps and Luxshare, and a switch to a six 6P plastic lens lens (compared to the current 5P). Lenses will be provided by Genius and Largan.
It’s worth noting that the overall stock of Genius lenses for the iPhone 14 will be higher than for Largan. Distribution of orders for new Genius lenses for iPhone exceeds Largan for the first time. Prior to that, Apple paid a lot of attention to the front camera with the release of the iPhone 11 in 2019. The aperture of the front camera of this smartphone is F / 2.2. Source
