WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow users to share media content faster.
This feature, which appeared in the latest beta version (version 2.24.23.11) of the popular messaging platform, aims to send photos and videos in a more practical way. Thanks to the discovered function direct gallery access via a shortcut in the chat bar can be provided.
A new media shortcut to chats is coming
Currently, if you want to send media content to someone on WhatsApp, you can do it via the camera icon or via the link icon that opens an additional menu. Naturally, in most cases you will have to deal with two different menus. However, with the new feature, you can access the gallery directly.
This feature, which is currently only available to a limited number of Android beta users, will be available to all users in the future, depending on feedback.
Since WhatsApp hasn’t brought many of the features it previously tested directly to all users, it’s likely we’ll see changes to the feature or its complete cancellation in the future.
So what do you think about this new feature of WhatsApp? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
