When this aircraft enters service, China will become the second country after the United States to have two types of stealth fighter jets. The first Chinese J-20 stealth fighter entered service in 2017.
It is not yet clear when the J-35A will be used. Additionally, the paucity of data released to date on the fighter makes it difficult to compare it with other stealth fighters, including the US F-22 and F-35.
