OSOM has announced a partnership with Solana Mobile to launch its rebranded phone. It will now be called Saga, not OSOM OV1. Saga will be a full-fledged flagship smartphone that will be equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display, a single-chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 system, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal flash memory.
The smartphone will use a stainless steel and titanium alloy body, a ceramic back panel and Corning Victus protective glass. Specifically, stainless steel has been used for the phone body, and titanium alloy will be used for the ring protrusion around the camera, as well as the power and volume buttons. The phone will be available in white and matte black color options, but “there will be some surprises.”
It has also been officially announced that the Saga phone will be launched in early 2023 and will cost around $1,000. The phone will only be available in the US, Canada, and Europe. It is currently pre-ordered for $100 on the official website.
It will be remembered that Android creator Andy Rubin launched the Essential Phone in 2017. Then his company shut down, but Essentials launched OSOM last year and OSOM announced the OV1 smartphone. OSOM means Out of Sight, Out of Mind and is pronounced great (“wonderful”, “stunning”). Source
