Qualcomm announced today on its official website that the next summit on Snapdragon technologies will be held from November 14-17. Currently, the company will introduce a next-generation flagship single-chip system under the likely name Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to the well-known Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, the development of the new flagship Xiaomi based on the SM8550 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) is ahead of schedule. It was previously reported that the Xiaomi 13 will be introduced in November this year. Now it is confirmed that Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be announced in November and sales will start in December this year.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the successor to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It will be manufactured by TSMC using a 4 nanometer process. The platform will continue to use the “1 + 3 + 4” tri-cluster architecture.

Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will reportedly be equipped with high-quality displays with 2K resolution, stereo sound, waterproofing, multifunctional NFC and Leica camera. Earlier, Digital Chat Station confirmed that the finished prototype is made of ceramic material of superior quality than previous ceramic cases of Xiaomi smartphones.
