OPPO is preparing to launch its Reno 8 series smartphones in India and the global market. The Reno 8 Pro is expected to launch in India on July 21. Now, the device has also received FCC certification, which means it will soon launch in the United States.

According to the certificate, the device carries the model number CPH2357 and comes with a 4500 mAh battery. The battery comes with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. In addition, the listing shows that the smartphone has an operating system based on Android 12 (ColorOS 12.1), measures 61.2 x 74.2 x 7.34 mm and weighs 183 grams.

In addition, the phone supports 5G and 4G LTE as well as Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi and NFC. Interestingly, the FCC document states, “The hardware supports the n77 and n78 5G NR bands, but will be disabled by software and will not be available in the US market.”

Features of OPPO Reno 8

We know that the Chinese variant of the OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ will be renamed the OPPO Reno 8 Global variant. Therefore, the device is expected to have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood will be a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset paired with a MariSilicon X NPU to provide better camera performance. The SoC will come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For photography, the device will have a triple camera with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor. It will be paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro unit. The front panel is likely to house a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie camera. The prices of the device are still kept secret.
