Vivo has officially announced its first folding mobile app. Asian company for the first time in the segment high end foldable book type, something similar to what we saw earlier on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. After the launch date of Vivo X Fold was announced, the terminal is now official. We review its technical specifications and features.

Qualcomm’s latest batch and a known format

The Vivo X Fold is the Chinese manufacturer’s first commitment to the folding segment. In front of us is a folded phone measuring 162 x 74.5 x 14.6 mm. When unfolded it goes to 162 x 144.9 x 6.3mm, double the width. Thus, we are faced with a large terminal, over 16 centimeters high and weighing 311 grams (quite successful for the terminal type).

The folding is similar to that seen in Samsung’s Fold offerings. It is a very vertical terminal when we use it folded, and when we open it, it transforms into a tablet format. The inner panel is 8.03 inches with a resolution of 1916 x 2160 pixels and AMOLED technology. Refresh rate 120Hz.

The outer panel we see when the device is folded is 6.53 inches, Full HD+ resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, AMOLED technology and also 120Hz for the refresh rate. Both panels are E5 type.The latest generation available in mobile OLED panels.

The heart of this phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (customized specifically for Vivo with security improvements) accompanied by 12GB of RAM and two internal memory configurations of 256 or 512GB in UFS 3.1 type. Battery 4.600mAhWith the promise of 66W fast charging and a full charge in 37 minutes. Wireless charging 50W and reversible wireless charging 10W.

The folders generally left the photography section aside. This is not Vivo’s case. The bet on this model is for a quad camera with two telephoto lenses and an ultra-wide angle. This is the camera configuration:
